As a school teacher I can see my students really loving these games! I can see Grammar Gumballs being a great game to play with many students including ESL students. She thinks she’s just hanging out with mom.īoth games are great to play at home with your children or at school.
My daughter doesn’t even know she is learning anything. This is a great game because it teaches so many important grammar skills. My daughter loves picking out gum balls and adding to her pile. Children or students receive gum balls every time they answer something right. You select a card from the pile then you turn to the correct section of the lesson book and start going over the card and asking questions. Once the game is set up you decide what you’d like to work on. It also comes with a 64 page lesson and workbook and CD-ROM. Grammar Gumballs comes with 180 cards that teach you about verbs, nouns, pronouns and more. Grammar Gumballs is a game that also gets my daughter talking and learning all about grammar! It also has a super fun set up – a gumball machine filled with foam gum balls! How fun! He can easily answer the “ Following Directions” questions by pointing to the items the card is asking. I was impressed that I can get him to participate in this game. My 3 year old son often joins us when we’re playing. Together we can find lots of details and say a lot about each card. I also like that I’m exploring the illustrations with her. She’s always been quite the talker but I find that these questions get her thinking on a different level. I really love how this game gets my daughter talking. Once questions are answered correctly the player gets to move and collect coins! Very exciting for little ones! The Expressive section deals with categorization, inferencing, description and social skills. In the Receptive section the three types of questions are: repeat, question, following directions. One player asks the questions and the other player uses the illustration on the card to answer the questions. Each card has a Receptive and Expressive section.
Each card has wonderful illustrations on one side and a set of questions on the back. Pirate Talk comes with 150 large language cards. This game gets my daughter talking! It covers so many communication skills including: She was immediately drawn to the gold coins, the fun looking game board and the really cool electronic spinner. We started with Pirate Talk. My daughter loved this game as soon as it was set up. The two new games we got to test out are called Pirate Talk and Gumballs. They get kids engaged and get them thinking. In our experience we find their games are fabulous. We’ve been lucky enough to try many Super Duper Publications games. She loves setting them up, following the rules (very important) and winning!! I was so looking forward to trying out two new games with her from Super Duper Publications.
